The best way to learn AVRT® is by reading authentic AVRT® materials available at this website. Discussion forums and conversations are also helpful but limited by interpersonal elements that can arise in dialogues. However, there is a spirit of AVRT that is best conveyed in the human voice, as you will see in the following interviews and excerpts from real life conversations with addicted people. After all, AVRT® is about voices, one particular voice that can be any voice it chooses to keep you using, using, using. The AVRT Sound Room is a new addition to the Rational Recovery website, and we hope it will provide you insight and inspiration on your very short, bumpy road to full, AVRT-based recovery. Your feedback is welcome, at the Contact Us link, to in the left-hand sidebar.

This 18-minute radio interview will help you get the feel of AVRT®, which is quite different from mainstream thinking on addiction and recovery. You’ll even hear a 12-stepping Rabbi raging against my encouraging addicted people to quit their addictions and remain at home with their families in the evenings.
Here's another Canadian radio interview that covers a lot of ground including family-centered recovery.
